March 2012 - Family Favourite Muffins

Muffins are such an easy snack to whip up and kids love to help. My 5 yr old helped me out yesterday making our favourite Best Chocolatey Banana Muffins and I thought I would share it so you can enjoy it too.

Swiss meringue buttercream is decadent and versatile and just so much smoother than traditional American icing. It's not difficult to make and it freezes well so make a big batch and have it on hand to flavour as you choose and frost up a batch of cupcakes in a flash.

A gluten-free Christmas doesn't have to be a boring one. Make it easy by choosing recipes that don't call for flour.

Handcrafted Marshmallows

Our marshmallows will surprise you! The fresh natural flavours and pastel colours come from real fruit, liqueurs and spices. No artificial flavours or colours are used. We make them in small batches to ensure you get the best marshmallow every time. Our flavour collections are seasonal so be sure to check back. Click here to watch the marshmallow magic!

Our Spring Collection is almost gone so be sure to stock up if you have a favourite. There's never a guarantee that it will appear again, unless you special order a whole case. :) Our Summer Collection will make it's debut on May 25th at Scout Handmade + Vintage Market with a fabulous S'mores Bar. I hear there's just a few tickets left for the gala event. May 26th the market is open to all so please join us in celebrating the coming of summer!

Cherry Blossom

Pretty in pink like the blossoms, these marshmallows will give you a foretaste of the sunny months ahead. Dipped in chocolate or dunked in a fruity tea, they are sure to make you smile.

Ingredients: sugar, corn syrup, BC sour cherries, water, icing sugar, corn starch, lemons, gelatin, salt.

Lemon Meringue

Fresh lemon cream and pillows of fluffy meringue are the flavours that will burst in your mouth as you bite into these luscious marshmallows. Quarter and serve with tea in place of lemon and sugar.
Ingredients: Sugar, corn syrup, lemons, water, icing sugar, corn starch, gelatin, turmeric, salt.

Toasted Coconut

Our most popular marshmallow... sweet, soft, chewy, toasty... the combination of freshly toasted coconut surrounding a pillow soft vanilla marshmallow is hard to resist. Great for snacking on or try adding to a creamy fruit salad. Bet you can’t stop at just one.
Ingredients: Sugar, corn syrup, sweetened coconut, water, gelatin, vanilla, salt.

Cocoa Mallow

Black and white, chocolate and vanilla, these may be your new addiction. Dark Belgian chocolate swirled into smooth vanilla marshmallows dusted with black cocoa. Cut them into chunks to top a sundae or a banana split. Watch them being made!

Ingredients: Sugar, corn syrup, water, 60% dark Belgian chocolate, black cocoa powder, gelatin, vanilla, salt.
